World of coffee Day Zero

World of Coffee 2026, was an experience I was not ready for. It being here in my back yard was something I had to take full advantage of, because I want to start my own mobile coffee business here in San Diego. So the first step was securing a ticket to the show, over the past couple of years I have met and partly worked for Porvecho kinda under the table as a freelance photographer for them. I was given the opportunity to take photos for them I said yes. Why would I not, they agreed to get me a ticket to the show, in exchange for a Pass and a couple of gifts that “G” blessed me with after the show for all the help.

Day 1 started at Fuzz, actually let’s call it day ZERO, it was a Latte art composition put on by Florida Coffee Culture, FUZZ, and Tenzo. You could feel the buzz around San Diego because WOC is here and we are ready to get this week started. While at FUZZ most of the team from Provecho showed up to be in the comp, the winner took home $1500 buck, and bragging rights.

Eric and Fernando showed up ready to take down who ever they were up against. But sad to say that the boys didn’t make it to the finals but made it pretty close to it which was amazing to see. There was defiantly stiff competition from around the world here to win that prize money. I left before the end of the competition, because one I had an early start to day at Provecho, two I just worked a full shift at my normal job at UCSD.

Here’s a mini gallery from the event enjoy.
